Academic, scientific or professional interest: The aim of the Master’s Degree in Environmental Radiation Protection is to utilise the experience of research groups from various Spanish universities. These groups have been participating in environmental radiation monitoring networks for over 25 years, many of which were promoted by the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN). In addition, a significant number of these groups are conducting exceptional research in the field of this Master’s, as well as in closely related areas. The primary aim of this Master’s Degree is to offer students specialised and multidisciplinary training, enabling them to acquire academic and professional expertise to perform tasks related to the radiological control of the environment. This Master’s aims to prepare graduates to work in laboratories, companies and public administrations that carry out activities related to the European regulations on radiological protection of the environment. It also prepares graduates to pursue doctoral studies in research groups dedicated to both research and the provision of services.
