The teaching staff of the master's degree is made up of personnel from the CSIC, from the universities participating in the agreement and other Spanish universities.

The master addresses both theoretical and experimental aspects required for the development of quantum technologies, such as algorithms (software) and physical implementations (hardware) that allow the control and manipulation of quantum states. Students can access a more theoretical specialization or experimental depending on the optional subjects they take.

Academic, scientific or professional interest: Quantum technologies are those that are built with devices of quantum nature, exploiting phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to obtain advantages in tasks such as sensing, metrology, communication, encryption, simulation and computation, among others. The field of quantum technologies is a priority research area in Europe, the US, China, Canada, Australia and Japan, among other developed regions. This official recognition stems from the fact that quantum technologies have leapt from academia to the business environment, with a growing economic impact. This impact is materialised through an exponentially growing number of start-ups, which add to or complement the initiatives organised by consolidated companies, such as Airbus, Telefónica, Vodafone or Thales Athenea. This Master’s Degree is an integrated training programme, aimed at graduates from technical and scientific degrees and professionals from technology, communication and service companies. It offers a complete education in the field of quantum technologies, at an advanced development and user level.
