A total of 42 degrees from the Universitat de València now require a cut-off mark of 10 or higher in the process of awarding places in the Valencian public university system. Addtionally, six titles require a mark over 13: the Double Degree in Physics and Mathematics, which requires a 13.543 and continues to be the highest cut-off mark requirement; the Degree in Medicine (13.436); the new Double Degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering (13.328); the Degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences (13.210); and the Degree in Dentistry (13.080).
The Universitat de València offered a total of 8,884 places for the 2023-2024 academic year, distributed across 56 degrees and 12 double degrees, two more than last year due to the incorporation of the double degree programmes in Mathematics and Computer Engineering and Mathematics and Telematics Engineering.
The vice-principal of Studies and Linguistic Policy, Isabel Vázquez, expressed her satisfaction with the results that show that the Universitat de València, as a university with a desire for public service, "is very attentive to the educational needs of our society and, despite budgetary and regulatory limitations, continues to respond to these needs.” Along the same lines, the vice-principal continues, "the incorporation of the new double degrees in Mathematics with Computer Engineering and Telematics Engineering is an example of the rigorous planning that our university carries out in order to offer new degrees, especially ones with highly topical profiles that are in great demand in the professional environment."
