Graduation of the 2021-2022 class of the Official Master’s Degrees of the Faculty of Economics

The students of the 16 Master’s Degrees of the Faculty of Economics celebrated their graduation ceremony on 25th July at the Olympia Theatre. Among them were the graduates of the 2021/22 graduating class of the Master’s Degree in International Business Management (iMBA).

 

The opening of the graduation ceremony of the Official Masters of the Faculty of Economics was in charge of the Vice-Principal for Economics and Infrastructure of the Universitat de València, Justo Herrera. The presiding table was made up of the Director General of the Valencian Institute of Finance, Manuel Illueca; the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Francesc Muñoz; the Head of Degrees of the Faculty, Yolanda Sánchez; the Director of the Master in Marketing and Market Research, Antonio Carlos Cuenca; the director of the Master's in Corporate Finance, Irene Comeig; the director of the Master's in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, Francisco Morillas; the former director of the Master's in Quality Management, María Dolores Moreno; and Carlos García, sponsor and director of the financial consultancy Deloitte.

The Vice-Deans Pedro Cillero and Dolores Montagud, who hosted the graduation ceremony, gave way to the Veni Creator, with which the ceremony began. After the awarding of scholarships and diplomas to the graduates, the student Marc Manzana, spoke at the ceremony on behalf of the students of the 16 master’s degrees, “during our time at the faculty we have not only learned about the specialised field of our Master’s Degree, be it economics, accounting, marketing... we have also grown as people and professionals and acquired values of work, effort and companionship, which after all is the most important thing for our future and our life”, said the graduate.

This was followed by a speech by Carlos García, a former student of the UV Master’s in Corporate Finance, who currently holds the position of Financial Advisory Manager at Deloitte. The Vice-Principal Justo Herrera closed the ceremony by congratulating the graduates and with a clear wish: “in these hard times we are living in the whole world, and especially in Europe, let us trust in education to get us out of the senselessness of war and the economic, energy and food crises in which it has plunged us” concluded the Vice-Principal for Economics and Infrastructure. The hymn Gaudeamus lgitur closed the graduation ceremony. 

Congratulations to the students of the Master’s Degree in International Business Management (iMBA) of the class of 2021/22 who have graduated with their effort, talent and dedication.
