The Universitat de València and the German company Würth Elektronik eiSos, based in the Science Park of the academic institution, have renewed their cooperation agreement for the continuity of the Würth EMC Chair, an entity founded seven years ago and dedicated to promoting Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in Smart Grids.
Active since 2015, the Würth Chair aims to promote and disseminate Electromagnetic Compatibility in the field of Smart Grids. Located in the facilities of the School of Engineering (ETSE) of the Universitat de València, its activity takes place in the fields of research, innovation, training, dissemination and knowledge transfer.
Held on Tuesday 5th April in the Board Room of the Science Park of the Universitat de València (PCUV), the event was attended by representatives of both parts. Juan José Borrás, director of the PCUV on behalf of the UV; José Torres and Jorge Victoria, co-directors of the chair on behalf of the ETSE-UV and Würth Elektronik, respectively, and Steffen Mütsch, head of the Product Management department of the German company, signed the renewal of the agreement. "We can talk about a success story thanks to the close collaboration between university and company in a synchronised space that, among other advantages, facilitates the recruitment process of young talent," said Steffen Mütsch.
"A large part of this young talent trained within the framework of the Chair will be incorporated into the centre that the company Würth Elektronik established at the Scientific Park in 2018, in order to take advantage of the synergies established here with other companies in this environment," says Juan José Borrás. "The renewal of the agreement underlines the commitment of both partners to continue advancing in this collaboration, and will allow to consolidate the presence of Würth Elektronic in the Scientific Park of the Universitat de València", concludes the director of the PCUV.
