In the late 60s, Sixto Rodríguez, a mysterious musician was discovered in a bar in Detroit by two producers who were fascinated by his soulful melodies and prophetic lyrics. They recorded two albums with the conviction that the artist would become one of the greatest of his generation. But success never came and the singer disappeared amid rumors about his suicide on stage. Meanwhile, one of the albums came to South Africa during Apartheid and spread throughout the country in bootlegs. In some years, the musician became an icon of freedom and the struggle against the system. Much later, two South African fans presumed to find out what really happened with Rodríguez and their research led them to meet an extraordinary story.
