Joe (Joaquin Phoenix), former Marine and former war veteran, is a lonely guy who spends his time trying to save women who are sexually exploited. No friends or lovers are allowed and he makes his living rescuing young people from the clutches of white handlers. One day he receives a call from a politician so that his daughter has been kidnapped.
