1st Forum on Forest Fires University of Valencia-Municipal Councils
The goal is to identify the needs of the affected municipalities and the answers and solutions proposed.
The University of Valencia, through the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, organises the "1st Forum on Forest Fires University of Valencia-Municipal Councils".
The Forum aims to reflect on the recent rash of fires in the interior of Valencia (Caroig Massif and surroundings, La Serranía, Camp de Túria or Alto Palencia), in order to identify the needs of the affected municipalities and the responses and solutions proposed by the research community of the University of Valencia.
This conference is aimed at the main representatives of municipal corporations (mayors, councilors -environment, socio-economic development, culture- and technical staff) and the teaching and research staff of the University, expert on the many issues derived from a catastrophe of such dimensions (territory, reforestation, civic participation, education, economics, local development, heritage, etc.).
This is undoubtely an interesting initiative which aims to link job opportunities between local Valencian entities with the specialists of the University of Valencia.
