Presentation of the new album “L’ amor fora de mapa”
“L’amor fora de mapa” (Love out of the map) is the first joint work of Mireia Vives and Borja Penalba. They received the proposal of Roc Casagran when they were working on their respective individual songs and started to set to music the poems of the writer, excited about the potential and strength of the poems of the book. It has been a challenge for Mireia and Borja to visualise the music the poems of the book “L’amor fora de mapa” were asking for, and they are proud of the result: boleros, pop melodies... made the power of music to amplify the words of Roc Casagran and opened an artistic universe that surpasses the pages of the novel. In total, they have set music to the 14 poems of the book by the writer from Sabadell, and they did so working closely with the author, who guided them though the vital ways the main characters of the book follow.
For the recording of the album they counted with the participation of musician such as Edu Olmedo at the drums, Pau Cháfer at the piano and Hammonds, Fèlix Castells and Carles Alonso Juan at the wind instruments, Francesc Anyó and Sandra Aragó reciting the poems and Berta Íñiguez at the choruses. As in the book of Roc Casagran, the recording of the album has also been a route through different studios of Benimaclet (Valencia), Xàtiva and Benaguasil.
