This seminar expects to provide some basic notions on the figure of the curator and the experimental practices that are currently developed in this field. Taking as reference temporary exhibitions, different expository models will be revised and a debate will take place on the current situation of traditional exhibition. Specific experimental expositive models will be studied as well as alternatives to exhibitions carried out by international curators both in contemporary art centres, as in outside its walls.
The seminar will run through five days with a theoretical first part
and a practical second part in which attendants will work with students
in sessions geared towards basic subjects on the work of the curator.
