Economic crisis, economic policies and inequality in Spain

Course of the 34th Edition of the Universitat d’Estiu de Gandia.

The concerning about the increase of inequality has started to appear at the social and political agenda. The goals of the course are the following: 1) Analysing inequality and poverty; 2) Showing the negative economic consequences of inequality; 3) Analysing the redistributive effects of the Welfare State in Spain; 4) Analysing the consequences of the austerity policies, and 5) Analysing the political consequences of inequality, especially in Spain.
