Conference about Education and training in new technologies and social networks. Hacia la innovación necesaria (Towards necessary innovation)
It is a fact that our societies are suffering structural mutations. The presence of new technologies of information has caused a revolution in economy, politics, society and culture, transforming radically the ways of producing richness, of interacting socially, and the circulation of knowledge. The school, educational institutions in general, must play a key role in this process, guaranteeing the access to new technologies, but addressing problems such as the collision between the logic of consumption with the purposes of learning processes, without forgetting the ethical and political issue of the training of new audiences and new viewers/producers of culture. The conference, organised by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the University of Valencia, the Valencian Regional Government and the City Council of Bunyol will deal with all these issues.
