The University of Valencia and its local environments: “La Meseta de Requena-Utiel” in Camporrobles
The Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the University of Valencia shows us with the exhbition “La Universitat de València and its local environments: La Meseta de Requena –Utiel” the main aspects related to this region, through the contributions of university researchers and local specialists.
This ground-breaking exhibition about the region, deals with topics such as vineyard, predominant crop and viticulture, dedicating both panels to the cooperatives and wine institutions. Also it analyses the major features of its geography, physical aspects such as, topography, hydrography, vegetation and climatology and human aspects, such as territorial configuration, population, communications, irrigation and salt mines. Likewise, it deals with its history from Iberian times to the great changes, which caused profound consequences in this territory. Between these two dates it explains the Romanization, The Middle Ages and the 18th century. Other relevant aspects which the exhibition deals with are art, wine architecture, religion, environmental education, language, paleontology, fauna, soil science or remote-sensing.
