“My name is Phoolan Devi, fuckers”, this is the beginning of a movie devoted to a woman who was sold as a kid, violated by her own husband, disgraced and insulted up to unthinkable limits. Phoolan saw herself pushed to take up weapons and face the Indian government. This movie is based on a real story which shows how such a despicable attitude has been historically denigrating women for the mere fact of being women.
