Mi querida señorita, tells Adela's story, a single and lonely middle-aged woman who hides a secret: she shaves everday and feels attracted to her servant Isabelita. One day, a physician tells her that she's actually a man. The film does not make clear whether it's transexuality or sexual ambiguity, but in any case poses a question on the difficulties that a person who has been educated and has lived as a woman for 40 years might have to adjust to masculine roles.
