The 7 a-side Female Football team of he UV will travel to Caceres for playing the Spanish University Championship, from 21 to 24 April in the facilities of the Universidad de Extremadura. The team enters the match after being acclaimed winner of the Regional Championship of the University Sport, one competition that the girls of José Andrés Menchero succeed to win totally undefeated. The Spanish Championship is a new opportunity to compete for ratifying the golden medal that they already get two editions ago (the last edition they do not participate). Menchero, the coach of the team of the UV as sees the championship as “a new opportunity for fighting and working and to repeat the success of the last participation. We understand what it means to represent the Universitat de València in an event where participate the best universities of Spain, hence we face the competition with utmost respect to the rivals that we will find, as they are the best of the country. We are mentally prepared for competing to the highest level, a level that we must give from the minute one until the end of the match if we want to get good results. The results of the draw has paired us with difficult teams like the University of Málaga and the University of Madrid. We did it in the European Games of the last year, we did it in the regional championship this season, but the past is only for remembering and learning, to win again there is only one way: getting dirty at work, from the initial whistle until the last second of the added time. The rest will come, and I trust in this team.
