Agenda UV

We extend the period to register in the VoluntariatUV until November 3rd: the initiative aims to facilitate the participation of students in volunteering programs that promote effective and transformative action in favour of collective social interests, and that tend to impact on the causes that provoke the situations of inequality and make necessary the involvement of citizens through volunteering. 

In addition, VoluntariatUV seeks to incorporate into the academic background of students solid criteria and references that, in their subsequent professional, technical and scientific development, promote social change and promote fair systems. 

We encourage active volunteering that participates in the generation of resources and proposals; transformative and with an impact for the benefit of the community and the personal development of the participating students.

The VoluntariatUV initiative is aimed at students currently in a degree, in a master's degree or in a doctorate. It is made up of two phases:

•    Training (15 hours). To get to know what the volunteering is about (5 hours) and to train in the volunteering you like the most (10 hours).

•    Volunteering. Choose from the different participation options in each area: prevention and intervention in gender violence; childhood, adolescence and youth; cooperation; support for disabled people; promotion of the human rights of refugees; and sustainability.

On the VoluntariatUV website you can consult the training calendar, as well as the details of each of the volunteering proposals. To participate, students currently in a degree can obtain 1 ECTS for the training and a variable number of credits depending on the volunteering proposal in which they are involved. Registration is free and places are limited. 

The Information and Promotion Service for Students (Sedi), in collaboration with the units, services and organisations promoting each volunteering, is responsible for the coordination of this initiative, to which it brings extensive experience in training and promoting the involvement of students at the University in volunteering.
