Does the UV directly coordinate the volunteer activities to help the victims of the DANA?
For the moment, they don’t. During this emergency phase, the volunteer activities are coordinated by the Generalitat Valenciana Government. The UV is just participating when the Generalitat Valenciana requests it.
Why is it necessary the coordination with the Generalitat Valenciana?
The coordination with the Generalitat assures that the volunteer activities are organised, efficient and safe, maximising the positive impact in the affected areas.
Will the UV organise volunteer activities in the rehabilitation and recovery phase?
Yes. Even though right now the UV is a coordinator from the Generalitat Valenciana in this phase of emergency response, they are preparing actions, which from the different knowledge areas, make it possible to help in the rehabilitation and recovery phase of the towns affected, in coordination with the town halls.
How can I participate in the volunteer activities of the advanced phases?
The Vice-chancellorship with the competencies in cooperation will publish an inscription survey for the volunteer activities, using the the informative channels of the University (web, social media and the app).
Can I organise volunteer activities by myself inside the UV?
It’s not recommended to organise volunteer activities by yourself in the campus to avoid duplicity. We ask you, both the service and the students to follow our official activities, both from the UV and the Generalitat Valenciana.
