How to get financing tools or learning about marketing strategies to attract clients are two of the audiovisual contents included in the audiovisual material that the Science Park of the Universitat de València is launching with the objective of continuing offering training on entrepreneurship in this new quarantine situation.

One of the skills of every entrepreneur should be the ability to adapt to new contexts. These days in which a pandemic is seriously affecting the planet, the Universitat de València is forced to restructure its teaching model. In order to maintain its level of excellence and educational quality, as well as the contact between students and experienced managers of innovative companies, the Science Park Foundation of the Universitat de València provides the Unitat d'Emprenedoria (UVemprén) with its video tutorials about key elements to carry out a business project.

In this regard, it should be noted that in 2019 UVemprén launched 10 programmes that allowed the development of more than 40 training sessions and events in which almost 1,000 people received additional training in entrepreneurship, 55% of which are women. In addition, with these calls, 44 innovative projects have been proposed, three of which have been awarded by the Valencian Government, in competition with the rest of public Valencian universities; among them, those from the companies Dawako and Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence, both settled in the PCUV.

Students of entrepreneurship training programmes, specially with an innovative element, can access this video tutorials about business models, knowledge and technology transfer modalities, as well as financing tools and marketing and communication strategies through the YouTube channel of the Science Park, where the list #FormacionPCUV has been set.

You will also learn first-hand, through testimonies of various CEOs interviewed, which are the possible ways to apply innovation to your business model, the vicissitudes that every entrepreneur finds on their way and the importance of selecting a place to start and develop an innovative business activity.

This training material has been developed thanks to the experiences of heads of companies in Biotechnology, Information and Communications Technologies and Advanced Services, three sectors of activity with a strong presence in the Science Park. Agustín Maciá, CEO of Dawako Medtech, Jorge Victoria, responsible of the first R&D centre of Würth Elektronik in Spain, Hugo de Juan, CEO of Encamina, Juancho Escobar, CEO of Q’omer Bioactive Ingredients, Felipe Javier Chaves, CEO of Seqplexing, Luis Roig, Drawfolio founder, Jorge Sánchez, managing partner of Mobiliza Academy, Juan José García, CEO of Worldpharma, and José Vicente Ribera, CEO of Way2Ecommerce, among others, these are some of the voices that narrate their way to consolidate their respective companies or delegations.

Video tutorials on the creation of scientific parks and incubators

The audiovisual training programme from Agroinncuba-CYTED, international net to foster creativity and to support to agrifood startups in which the Science Park of the Universitat de València is involved, will also be available for students. In this case, the audiovisual contents are about the added value of science parks and incubators sponsored by academic institutions from Ibero-America.

It consists of 10 video tutorials and tackles how to carry out the third mission of the university, that is to say, the transfer of knowledge to society; the fundamentals for the implementation of these innovation ecosystems, the constitution of its management team, the relationship with the innovative companies that it hosts and their ways of feasibility.
