The ITC aid plan for UV students started with the Universitat de València's own resources and launched for those UV students without computer equipment and/or connections begins its phase 3, after two shipments of equipment and connections. The UV will continue to process applications for ITC resources until 15 May

The Universitat de València began the process of delivering computer equipment on 28 April, as part of the ICT aid plan for UV students.

This plan responds to the needs identified after the analysis of the survey "ITC Resources and Needs of the Student Body" of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Strategy, Quality and Information Technologies, and was launched while waiting for the calls for specific ITC aids for university students that the Principal of the Universitat de València requested from both the Ministry of Universities and the Regional Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society. You can access this application to the government of Spain and the Generalitat Valenciana in UVnews: http://links.uv.es/hS0SVpD

The ITC aid plan has been launched with UV's own funds. This plan is coordinated by the University Head Office and the Vice-Principal for Strategy, Quality and Information Technologies, and has been developed by the staff of the Computer Service (SIUV), the Libraries and Documentation Service, the Analysis and Planning Service, the Health and Safety and Environment Service and the Office of the Vice-Principal of Studies and Language Policy.

The first allocation of ITC resources was made based on the resource survey that was used as the first request for equipment, and subsequently, based on the information provided to the university community, a second allocation of resources was processed.

The two allocations, which involved the granting of all validated requests and the delivery of materials requested by the messaging system given the restrictions on mobility in the alarm state, total 75 laptops, 60 network-connected computer devices, and 74 Internet connections.

The Universitat de València is currently processing the applications received which will make up the third allocation and dispatch of ITC resources.

Until 15 May, the possibility will be kept open for students who have not previously requested it, to access laptop computers free of charge on a loan regime and/or to access the Internet.

In order to qualify for these grants, you must send an e-mail to ajudestic@uv.es. In the case of those students who do not have access to the Internet to apply, a colleague may contact the Universitat de València via this e-mail to identify their situation and their needs, and seek a solution to overcome this digital gap.

In this phase 3 we will have the help of the Generalitat Valenciana in assigning Internet connections.
