Aims

The commitment of Confucius Institute in Universitat de València is to centre its efforts in the promotion and diffusion of the language and culture of China through:

  •     Teaching of Chinese Language from basic level to advanced, for adults and children.
  •     Trainers of Chinese language teachers, highly qualified and with teaching experience in different educational methodology appropriate to different age ranges.
  •     Innovation in the teaching methodologies by varied methods, including multimedia and internet methods.
  • It is the only    centre, in the Valencian Community, official examiner of the HSK Chinese language tests (adults) and YTC tests (children and young people), as well as oral levels (HSKK).
  •     Grants for Chinese students, of long and short duration.
  •     Organization of cultural activities, workshops, meetings and competitions related to Chinese language and culture for all ages.
  •     Celebration of traditional Chinese festivals.
  •     Providing useful information to the student or interested public, by offer the books enquiry service, materials and documentation.
  •     Assistance to interest and advice groups for those people who want to study, work and do business in China.
  •     Better integration of the Confucius Institute, both in the life and university community and in the dynamics of the community or region generally.
  •     Promoting the cultural exchanges for the co-operation and encouragement of the understanding and friendship between China and the rest of nations.
  •     Appealing for the participation and awaking the interest for the Chinese culture and its language, the third most spoken language at international level, in humanistic field and in the areas of economics and trade.
