The Department of Environment offers this possibility to those departments or individual teachers who want to teach their students some basics on waste management.It preferentially targets first year student, since a single session across all studies is enough.

The tour lasts 30 minutes during which the students will be informed:

• Impact of laboratories and their waste on the environment.
• Classification of the waste in groups.
• packaging and labelling of the waste in laboratories.
• Waste treatment, recycling and disposal
• Safety measures at the warehouse.

Addition of the basics above mentioned, it is intended that students know the consequences of waste generation, to make them aware of the responsibility of working with hazardous materials to the environment. This way they will acquire habits to properly manage the waste they generate.
