EUTEKNÈ

EUTEKNE is an Erasmus+ project designed to enhance the quality of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) in line with the 2019 Council Recommendation on high-quality ECEC, by supporting staff professionalisation and the development of pedagogical approaches that foster the learning and inclusion of both typically developing children and those with special needs. Its main objective is to equip teachers and families with evidence-based tools and guidelines, grounded in developmental psychology and pedagogy, to promote an informed and co-use of technology in early childhood settings. The project will involve teachers, parents and researchers through a co-design methodology, using qualitative and quantitative approaches (e.g., focus groups, interviews, field testing) to collaboratively develop and validate three main outputs: a theoretical framework for the responsible use of technology in ECEC, an open and dynamic catalogue of technological tools, and an innovative NFC-based educational resource to be used jointly by educators and children, as well as practical guidelines for teachers and parents. The project expects to improve technological competence, pedagogical innovation and inclusion practices among ECEC professionals, with long-term benefits such as scalable tools, transferable methodology and sustainable impact on early years curricula across Europe.
