A few weeks ago, Alejandra Ramirez, on behalf of the Clínica per la Justicia Social and the Human Rights Institute of the University of Valencia, together with other organisations and representatives of civil society, appeared before the Committee on the Rights of the Child during the pre-sessional period to evaluate the Spanish State's compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In this context, the Clinic and the Institute tried to highlight the inadequacy of the State's response to cases of sexual violence against children in the family environment and to propose some concrete aspects for improvement.
