Call for applications for the Scientific Council of the European Research Council (ERC)

The European Research Council is open until May 6th 2022 at midday for applications to its Scientific Council <https://ec.europa.eu/info/news/commission-seeks-candidates-erc-scientific-council-2022-mar-11_en> . Given that the applications must be processed by the Universitat de València as a research organisation (candidates cannot nominate themselves), we ask the additional research staff to inform us of their interest in applying through the following website

The Scientific Council, the independent governing body of the LERC, defines its strategy and research funding methodologies. It is composed of 22 members, all of them renowned scientists and academics representing the European scientific community. Members are nominated for four years, renewable once. The candidates presented will be evaluated by the Identification Committee in order to contribute to the work of the recommended candidates. Around 25% of the current members of the Scientific Council have to be replaced as their terms of office will expire in the next ten months.

 

On the other hand, lERC has until April 29th 2022 at midday the offer of vacancies in its ERCEA Agency. We are looking for national experts on secondment with the following profiles:

1. Unit A.2 - Communication
2. Unit B.1 - Ethics
3. Unit B.2 - Management of scientific evaluation
4. Unit B.2 - Quantitative and statistical analysis
5. Unit B.3 - Life Sciences
6. Unit B.4 - Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Materials
Sciences, Earth and Universe Sciences)
7. Unit B.4 - Engineering (all areas)
8. Unit B.4 - Computer Science and/or Mathematics
9. Unit B.5 - Social Sciences and Humanities (Archaeology, Cognitive Sciences, or Human Geography)
