The BIP - Intersectional Approach Research on Diversity and Migration Narratives program (3 ECTS, 90 hours) is strongly supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and the FORTHEM Diversity and Migrations Lab. Between May and June 2023, more than 20 Ph. D. students from any Erasmus+ institution and to FORTHEM universities enrolled in the areas of knowledge of Social Sciences and Humanities will participate in this Blended Intensive Program (BIP). In other words, Ph. D. students whose research is related to the fields of study of Education, Literature, Linguistics, Psychology, Human Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy and Human Rights, as we are seeking for the promotion of an intersectional approach from all of these areas of knowledge. This program is a blended course and includes one part that is performed online and one part which is performed in person at the host university (University of Valencia).

Throughout this training period Ph. D. students will first learn about the theoretical concept of Intersectionality, Hybridism and Boundaries and its direct applications to Diversity and Migrant Narratives from different fields and methodologies. Hence, Ph. D. students will initially transfer the virtual theoretical training with telecollaborative activities with other PhD students. Afterwards, they will move in situ at the Universitat de València (Spain) where they will receive on-site training parallel to students’ cooperative work that will have to present publicly in groups at a conference designed for this purpose.
