Universitat de València, 24 January 2019
Sala de Juntes “César Simón” (Faculty of Philology, Translation & Communication, 1st floor)
The aim of this Seminar is to encourage on-going discussion, revision, and reconfiguration of gender and translation issues from a hybrid, transcultural perspective. In the last two decades the field of gender and translation has been growing in the Mediterranean region exponentially. More women (and men) translators are concerned with gender-related aspects in literary as well as in non-literary texts, in an endless interrogation of gender definitions and identities. This event is an opportunity for participants (and research students) to exchange ideas about the status of gender and translation in today’s hybrid and ever-changing world.
