Sófocles (Colono, currently part of Athens, (Greece), 496 a. C. - Athens, 406 a. C.) was an Ancient Greece tragic poet. Author to works like Antígone or Oedipus the King, it belongs, along Aeschylus and Euripides, along the most notable figures of the Greek Tragedy. Of all his literary production only seven tragedies remain complete of essential importance for the genre.
