The contemporary audiovisual world presents us images of violence, often used as a device for seducing the viewers in an attempt of satisfying their morbid gaze.
At the forefront of this widespread and pervasive trend, in addition to television, also by the hegemonic film model, we find other forms of violence that give to the viewers another role, trying to make them aware of what is shown in front of their eyes. Within this aspect we can include the Michael Haneke’s films.
