All these professionals have in common the study and multi-disciplinary research in the field of speech therapy, more specifically in the following areas: disorders of vision and resonance, speech disorders of central aetiology, speech disorders of organic origin and orofacial motility.
- Voice and resonance disorders. The aim of this line of research is to deepen our knowledge, on the one hand, of vision disorders of organic, functional, psychogenic and transgeneric origin (among others) and, on the other hand, of resonance disorders derived to a large extent from velopharyngeal dysfunction.
- Language disorders of central etiology. The aim of this line of research is to deepen our understanding of the communication and language difficulties of people with aphasia and dementia, and their relationship with executive functions; to develop tests and protocols for language and communication exploration and rehabilitation.
- Speech disturbances of organic origin. Orofacial motricity. This line of research has two clearly differentiated objectives: 1. To deepen our knowledge, assessment and treatment of speech disorders of organic, anatomical or structural aetiology. 2. To deepen knowledge of oro-facial motor skills in repetition and associated with different activities.
