The COSiDES research group is based on the deconstruction of the body as an anatomical-physiological entity in order to understand it as a social entity. The body is studied as a culturally ascribed social field in which various labels and social processes coexist, overlap and often contradict each other. We are a research group that produces critical sociological research using social science methodologies. We are especially interested in the processes of the construction of subjectivities in dialogue with identity categories (gender, age, sexuality, racialization), processes that we understand to be inherently relational, cultural and non-definitive. Our analyses have a multilevel scope: they can be found at the micro level of experiences, at the meso level in terms of the articulation of narratives by institutions and other social agents, or at the macro level of the exploration of social orders and public policies (educational, migratory, health) and their impact on the shaping of bodies and identities. We hold an intersectional perspective that pays special attention to conflict processes, dissidences, resistances and the creative dynamics of bodies and subjectivities.

• Ofrecer asesoramiento y elaborar informes científicos destinados a Instituciones públicas y privadas interesadas en estas temáticas.
• Crear espacios de reflexión e intercambio de ideas que ayudan a tejer redes entre personas interesadas y a incrementar la transferencia de conocimiento
• Transferir el conocimiento generado por el grupo a trabas de actividades formativas y publicaciones especializadas y de divulgación.
