Credit recognition of credits completed in Degree or Master’s degrees

The application form is presented through the Services Portal (from 15 July to 30 September​, 2025)

Documentation to be attached:

  • Academic Official Certificate.
  • Copy of the curriculum sealed by the centre.
  • Copy of the programmes of the subjects completed sealed by the department or centre.

If the studies are set at the Faculty of Social Sciences, students will only need to submit the application form.

For validating foreign studies students should submit a legal translation of all the documentation, authenticated through diplomatic channels (under the Hague Convention, where appropriate) and the receipt of having paid the established tax by the autonomic community for the study of the application forms.

Taxes

If the application is favourable, the corresponding receipt will be generated for the interested person in order to satisfy the tax established by the Government of the Valencian Community (25% of the credits price to be recognised).

Credit recognition taxes won’t be paid if Degree students have obtained credit recognition of basic character in the degree of origin done in the same University and appointed to the same branch of knowledge (Sciences Branch). This exception will be applied for a single degree change and in a single way (arte. 11. DECREE 101/2024, 2 August, by the Valencian Council, for which public prices from academic services and university academic complementary are regulated). 

Recognition of credits in Degrees from Higher-Technician Vocational Training Certificate (Spanish Vocational Education)

Documentation to be attached:

  • Academic Official Certificate.
  • Official Certificate on the Upper-Level Training Cycle 

Taxes

If the application is favourable, the corresponding receipt will be generated for the interested person in order to satisfy the tax established by the Government of the Valencian Community (25% of the credits price to be recognised).

Credit recognition from professional or work experience

This recognition modality is regulated in the articles 4 and 11 from the Regulations for the Recognition and Transfer of UV credits.

1. Accredited professional and work experience could also be recognised in credit form that will count for the obtaining of an official degree, as long as experience is strictly linked with knowledge and competences from the degree.

2. The academic committee responsible for the corresponding official certification will determine the minimum accredited period of work or professional experience required to apply and obtain this credit recognition, that under no conditions can be less than 6 months.  

This recognition must be done, with a general character, regarding the subject “External Internships”.

The number of recognised credits can’t be superior to 15% of the total of certificate credits.

The application form is presented through the Services Portal from 15 July to 30 September​, 2025.

Required documentation:

  • If the activity is carried out in a company or organisation, company certificate or organisation in which it is stated that the concerned person carried out the work or professional activity for which recognition is requested and the period of time for which this activity has been carried out, that necessarily has to coincide with what is stated in the employment record.
  • This record will prove the employment antiquity in the contribution group that the applicant considers that is related with the expected competences in the correspondent studies.

If the activity has been done self-employed, you must attach:

  • Census certificate, teaching certificate or any other documentation that proves that you have worked for the activity self-employed-


Taxes

If the application is favourable, the corresponding receipt will be generated for the interested person in order to satisfy the tax established by the Government of the Valencian Community (100% of the credits price to be recognised).

Credit recognition from university activities participation

 

The students can incorporate in their academic record up to 6 ECTS by participating in university, cultural, sport and students representation, solidary and cooperation activities, which have been developed in the UV during the university studies period, according to the UV regulations.
The list of activities proposed by the UV sensitive to recognition can be consulted on the website of the Students Service.

The recognition will be requested jointly and once students have enrolled of all necessary credits to finish the degree with the exception of optative credits from which the recognition is being requested. This is important since once enrolled, students won’t be able to request a leave from optional subjects for this reason.


The application form will be done during the academic year, through Electronic Registration attaching a scanned copy of certificates that prove the realisation of the university activities from which the recognition is being requested.


Once documentation is checked, if the application is favourable, the corresponding receipt will be generated for the interested person in order to satisfy the tax established by the Government of the Valencian Community (25% of the credits price to be recognised). And available in the Virtual Office. Once the receipt has been paid, the corresponding credits will be incorporated to your contract file.
