The Vice-Rector for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthty Life, through the International Relations and Cooperation Service manages the different exchange programs with foreign and national universities, as well as several calls for international cooperation and development promotion in the field of university development cooperation (CUD).
Its management areas are:
- education for the development of socially responsible citizens, training,
- to promote global citizenship and raise awareness of the effective implementation of Human Rights
- support for research in sustainable human development and cooperation.
- awareness, information and documentation, cooperation projects to reduce imbalances and injustices that socially, economically and culturally affect the most disadvantaged and impoverished peoples of the world. Peace, Solidarity and good governance policies
The main tasks carried out by the Cooperation Unit of the International Relations and Cooperation Service are:
- Manage the calls for scholarships and grants approved each year by the 0.7 Commission of the University of Valencia, an entity that manages the application of 0.7 of the institution's budget for development cooperation.
- Supervise development cooperation projects both in the Universitat de València's own calls and in the calls of other institutions, such as the Valencia City Council, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC).
- Coordinate courses and workshops to raise awareness of cooperation. Promote the participation of the University of Valencia in international networks and institutions in matters of cooperation
