According to the article 178 of the Statutes of Universitat de València:

1. The functions of the Student Council are:

  1. To agree and propose the measures that consider opportune for better defend the rights and interests of the students.
  2. To propose to the Governing Council, for its approval, a draft regulation that standardise its constitution and functioning.
  3. To elect the Coordination Board that, according to the regulations, will ensure the compliance of the agreement reached by the Council.
  4. To coordinate the initiatives that arise in the centre’s assemblies.
  5. To propose the distribution of the budgetary allocation that, in the scope of Universitat de València, is dedicated to the sports and cultural activities of the students.
  6. To choose and, in its case, revoke representatives of students in university commissions.
  7. To elaborate and forward proposals to the Governing Council and to the Senate.
  8. To participate in the commissions in charge of the distribution of grants, aids and credits destined to the students of Universitat de València, as well as in the setting of the criteria for their concession.
  9. To carry out all the tasks ordered by the Senate or the Governing Council and, in general, those that derive from these Statutes.

2. The functions of the Coordination Board are:

  1. To call and moderate the meetings according to the regulations of the Council.
  2. To implement the agreements adopted by the Student Council.
  3. To process the proposals of the Student Council to the Governing Council and to the Senate.
  4. To represent to the students of Universitat de València.
  5. To execute as spokesperson of the Student Council.
  6. All of those attributed in these Statutes and in the regulations of the Council.
