La Universitat forçarà el canvi de contrassenya dels comptes UV com a mesura de protecció contra ciberatacs

The Universitat de València follows the indications of the National Cyberattack Alert and Response Centre, which advises an immediate passwords change to minimise the risk of intrusion in the context of the war in Ukraine.

One of the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine is a significant increase in the activity of cybercrime groups.

CENN-Cert, the Spanish National Cyberattack Alert and Response Centre, advises to immediately apply a set of proactive measures to minimise the risk of intrusion in the Universitat's institutional and personal information systems.

One of these measures is to force a password change on all University accounts.

To comply with these indications, the Universitat de València has adopted the measure of forcing the password change in all the accounts of the institution.

To implement it, the UV identity management system has been configured so that all University passwords will expire on Thursday 3rd March 2022 at 10 p.m.

Therefore, all University staff must change their password before this date.

The vice-principal for Strategy, Quality and ICT, Joaquín Aldás-Manzano, has already sent an e-mail to all staff to provide the corresponding indications to proceed with this change.
