The electronic seals or body seals are a type of electronic signature used by Public Administrations to identify and authenticate a specific automated administrative action.
An automated administrative action corresponds to any act or action fully taken via electronic means by a Public Administration within the framework of an administrative procedure and in which there was no direct intervention taken by a public employee.
The electronic seals are based on a digital certificate that will have to include:
- Tax identification number (of the signing Administration).
- Name of the body or Administration.
- Optionally, the holder’s identity.
