
The signature of this collaboration protocol was presided by the Regional Secretary and President of the Valencia Tourism Agency, Francesc Colomer, where also participated the Regional Secretary of Culture and Sports, Albert Girona; the First Deputy mayo of Valencia, Joan Calabuig; the Vice-President of the Valencian Council, Mª Josep Amigó; the Dean of the Universitat de València, Esteban Morcillo, the Vice-President of the Trade Chamber of Valencia, Vicente Folgado; the President of the Col·legi de l'Art Major de la Seda, Vicente el Genovés; the President of the UNESCO València Mediterrani association, José Manuel Gironés; and the General Secretary of the municipal adminstration of the City Hall of Valencia, Francisco Javier Vila.
After the signature, Francesc Colomer pointed out that with this protocol we reveal that unity is strength and that now we are an example of collaborative governance to turn the Silk Road into a solid and singular product. At the same time, he highlighted that “we had a term at the Corts to tackle actions and strategies for Valencia to be a Silk City and we wanted to do it from those involved
Next week, the UV already organices, under collaboration of other institutes, the International Conference “The Golden Thread. The Silk Road and its links to Valencia”, which will take place at the Faculty of Geography and History.
