Academic, scientific or professional interest: Growing concerns about development and poverty and their complexity have led international bodies, states and social organisations to look for qualified professionals with a specific and interdisciplinary background. The Masters in Development Aid intends to meet this need by offering high-level education with two complementary graduate profiles: the practitioner and the researcher. The first one seeks to respond to the process of professionalization of the sector, with a clearly practical focus aimed at acquiring knowledge and problem-solving skills in a real and practical context. This practical orientation is complemented by a critical reflection on theoretical foundations, so that students can compare the theoretical discussion with real experiences in different settings. The researcher pathway intends to provide them with methodological bases for research, to develop systematic and critical thinking for consistent and effective actions in various areas of development from different specialties.
