Protocol for Requesting New Studies at the University of Valencia Centers

  1. Introduction
Centers at the University of Valencia, through their representatives, may request the creation or review of studies under this protocol. Requests will be evaluated to ensure that new studies align with the university’s strategic objectives, contribute to academic development, and comply with established regulatory and operational requirements.
  2. Requirements for the Request

To initiate a request for new studies, the following requirements must be met:

  • Center Representative: The request must be submitted by an authorized representative of the academic center, such as the Dean or the Center Administrator.
  • Study Justification: A clear and detailed description of the need for the new study must be provided, specifying the benefits it will bring to both the center and the university community.
  • Objectives and Expected Outcomes: The request must detail the specific objectives to be achieved with the new study, as well as the expected outcomes.
  • Required Resources: The center must identify the resources needed to carry out the study, including spaces, auxiliary facilities, technical equipment, and funding.
  • Compliance with Regulations: The request must comply with current academic, administrative, and safety regulations at the university, as well as any other relevant regulatory framework.
  1. Request Procedure

The process for requesting new studies will follow these steps:

  • Access Tiqueting: Centers must access the Tiqueting link to complete the request, including all study details: objectives, justification, required resources, and any other relevant information.
  • Preliminary Review: Once the request is received, the technical team of the Technical Service or the corresponding area will conduct a preliminary review to ensure the request meets the established requirements. This review aims to verify the administrative, regulatory, and technical feasibility of the proposed study.
  • Technical Evaluation: Following the preliminary review, a detailed technical evaluation will be carried out by a specialized technician. This evaluation will analyze the technical and financial feasibility of the study, considering both available resources and the impact and relevance of the proposed study.
  • Approval: Based on the technical evaluation, the request will be approved or rejected. If the study is approved, its implementation will be planned according to the established timelines, resources, and structure.
  • Notification to the Requesting Center: The center will receive formal notification of the final decision. If necessary, recommendations will be included to improve or adapt the proposed study to meet the expected requirements and objectives.
  1. Resources Available for Requesting Centers

During the request process, centers will have access to the following resources to facilitate submission and tracking of their request:

  • Technical and Academic Support: Guidance is provided to ensure the study is properly formulated, covering all key and regulatory aspects adequately.
  • Tiqueting: The link to complete the request will be available online, allowing easy and quick access.
  • Request Tracking: Centers can track the status of their request in real time through the same portal, receiving updates at any time.
  1. Submission and Evaluation Deadlines
  • Submission Deadline: Requests must be submitted via the provided link at least one month before the intended start date of the study. This ensures sufficient time for evaluation and planning.
  • Evaluation Deadline: The responsible technician will have 30 working days to issue a report on the technical feasibility and relevance of the request. This timeframe allows for a thorough and well-founded analysis.
  1. Closure and Archiving of Requests

Once the evaluation and decision-making process is complete, all documentation related to the request will be electronically archived for future reference and control. This ensures a transparent and accessible record of all submitted requests.
