Biography
 

Inmaculada Garnes Tarazona holds a degree in English Philology from the University Jaume I, a Master's in Secondary Education Teaching from the University of Valencia, a Master's in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Georgia, a Master's in Information and Communication Technologies in Language Research from the UNED, and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Georgia. She began teaching at the University of Georgia in 2001 and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of English and German Philology at the University of Valencia. Her main research areas are Pragmatics, Corpus Linguistics, and Discourse Analysis. Her research has been published in journals such as Sintagma, Verba, Estudios de Traducción, Discourse & Communication, Signos Lingüísticos, o Diálogo de la Lengua.

Biography
 

Dorota Kotwica is a lecturer at the University of Valencia. She is part of the Val.Es.Co. research group and participates in the ESPRINT research project.

Her main lines of research are pragmatics, discourse analysis, the categories of mitigation, intensification and evidentiality, and Spanish as a foreign language.
