The Language Centre of the University of Valencia has announced the start of the English for International Trade course in collaboration with the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE).
The Language Centre of the University of Valencia is pleased to announce the launch of the English for International Trade course in collaboration with the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE). This specialised course is designed for professionals and students who are interested in the field of international trade and will be held at the Language Centre in June.
English for International Trade is a comprehensive academic programme whose main objective is to improve participants' communication skills in English, specifically focusing on situations and contexts related to international trade. The course is designed to provide students with the linguistic tools needed to effectively navigate international business environments. The students of this course are the fortunate recipients of the IVACE's "E+E, Export and Employment 2022" grants, which aim to enable the employees of companies and entities in the Valencian Community with technical training in higher or medium level training cycles to improve their qualifications in foreign trade through training and professional specialisation.
The course will consist of 14 live-streamed sessions of 2 hours each, and 3 sessions of 4 hours held in person at the facilities of the Language Centre of the UV. Streaming sessions will allow participants to access course content from any location, providing flexibility and convenience in learning. On the other hand, the face-to-face sessions at the Language Centre of the UV will offer them the opportunity to interact directly with teachers and other students, encouraging speaking practice and real-time feedback.
The sessions will focus on developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills specific to international trade. In addition, practical activities and case studies will be carried out to ensure that participants acquire the necessary skills to communicate effectively in the global business environment.
