The University of Valencia has approved its Sustainable Mobility Plan 2025–2030.
The geographical dispersion of the campuses and the constant growth of the university community present significant challenges in terms of mobility and accessibility.
The need to facilitate efficient, sustainable, and safe travel between the different campuses and their urban surroundings is essential to improving the quality of life of students, teaching staff, and administrative personnel.
This Mobility Plan, following the diagnosis carried out, aims to address these challenges through the development of a comprehensive sustainable mobility strategy for the University of Valencia.
Through this Plan, the goal is to:
– Establish general and specific objectives that guide actions toward improving mobility, promoting sustainable and environmentally respectful practices.
– Define an action strategy structured into five fundamental axes, divided into nine lines of action, which group together the various improvement proposals.
– Develop detailed sheets for each proposal, describing their scope, involved stakeholders, alignment with the objectives of the Spanish Urban Agenda, and implementation plan.
– Prioritize actions and establish a time horizon for their execution, ensuring the effectiveness and viability of the proposed measures.
– Establish a system of evaluation and monitoring, with specific indicators that allow measurement of the progress and impact of the implemented actions.
In summary, the Mobility Plan aims to be a roadmap that enables the University of Valencia to advance toward a more sustainable, efficient, and accessible mobility model, aligned with national and European policies on urban development and sustainable mobility.
This joint effort will contribute not only to the well-being of the university community but also to the sustainable development of Valencia and its neighboring municipalities.
