Opciones de movilidad

The University of Valencia promotes healthier, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly mobility. Before choosing a private vehicle, it is advisable to consider the different alternatives available to reach the Blasco Ibáñez, Tarongers, and Burjassot-Paterna campuses.

1. Walk whenever possible

If you live less than 2 km from the campus, walking is often the best option. It is free, produces no emissions, avoids parking problems, and helps improve both physical and mental health.

2. Move around by bicycle

For urban travel, the bicycle is one of the most efficient alternatives:

  • Stable and predictable travel times

  • Very low cost

  • Immediate availability

  • No polluting emissions

  • Direct health benefits

Valencia has an extensive network of bike lanes, and all three UV campuses are accessible by bicycle.

Valenbisi The public bike-sharing network Valenbisi offers a complementary alternative for daily trips to the campuses.

3. Use public transport

Public transport is the best option for medium- and long-distance travel.

The UV provides access to information and route planning through:

Before travelling, check the estimated travel times to the campuses and compare the available options. The University reminds users that travel time by private vehicle does not include the time spent searching for parking or the walking time needed to reach the final destination.

4. Carpool

When distances exceed 10 km and a motor vehicle is necessary, carpooling is an alternative that allows you to:

  • Reduce travel costs

  • Decrease congestion and parking demand

  • Reduce CO₂ emissions

  • Encourage collaboration among members of the university community

The University of Valencia participates in the Tribbu Carpooling Platform, which connects drivers and passengers to share trips and compensates journeys. To use it, you only need to register with your institutional UV email and access the vehicle-sharing service.

Plan your trip

Before travelling to the campus:

  • Consider whether you can walk

  • Check if cycling is a viable option

  • Review public transport connections

  • If you need a private vehicle, try to share it

The goal is to move toward a more sustainable, healthy, and accessible university, reducing the environmental impact of daily travel for the entire university community.
