José Badia

The GREENVERSITY project consortium has taken part in the international conference INTED2026, organised by IATED, one of the leading European events in the fields of education, innovation, and educational research.

At this international forum, the paper titled “GREENVERSITY CORE: The Framework of competences and evaluation criteria to implement sustainability-driven mindset in higher education” was presented by Professor Jose Badia, who spoke on behalf of the project’s international team.

Participation

The paper outlines the development of GREENVERSITY CORE, a structured framework of sustainability competences specifically adapted to higher education. This model translates the European GreenComp framework into the university context through a taxonomy organised into knowledge, skills, and attitudes, accompanied by three‑level assessment rubrics that facilitate its progressive integration into degree programmes, courses, and quality assurance systems.

The project aims to promote the systematic incorporation of sustainability into university curricula, fostering systems thinking, ethical reflection, innovation, and responsible action in response to contemporary environmental, social, and economic challenges.

GREENVERSITY is funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme (KA220-HED – Cooperation partnerships in higher education 2024), within the project “GREENVERSITY: PROGRAMME FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GREENCOMP IN HIGHER EDUCATION”, reference 2024-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000257362.
