Studies on social entrepreneurship in developed and developing economies suggest that social entrepreneurship is a key aspect for the creation and diversification of business activity, economic growth, emancipation and empowerment of women. Therefore, this project draws on the literature of social entrepreneurship to develop a framework for analysing the role of women as social entrepreneurs.
