“Does money make happiness?”, topic of the II Debate League of secondary school and upper secondary school education

The Universitat de València, the Xarxa Vives d’Universitats and Escola Valenciana have organized on 12, 13 and 14 February the local fase of the II Debate League of secondary school and upper secondary school education. The activity will take place at the seminary hall of La Nau building and it is open to the public. 14 teams of 10 Valencian institutes will participate.

It is a competition among institutes which have, as the main goal, to make statements among students with a dialectic confrontation in Catalan language among different teams, which they have to defend the pros or cons about an actual topic. The chosen topic for this edition is “Does money make happiness?”

 

The winning team of the local fase will participate, as Universitat de València’s representative, in the final fase which will be celebrated in Salt on 27 and 28 March.

It will be judged by a jury made up of professors of the Universitat de València and institutes, with the Undergraduate Studies and Language Policy Vice-Principal, Isabel Vázquez, and the President of the Escola Valenciana, Vicent Moreno.

Escola La Masia Coop Val. Museros

Parroquial San José Tavernes de la Valldigna

IES Josep de Ribera Xàtiva (with 2 teams)
