Discussion on the European elections, this Wednesday at La Nau

‘The Valencian Country in front of the European Elections” is the title of a round-table discussion, scheduled for this Wednesday 7 of May, organised by the Debate Forum of the University of Valencia and Valencians pel Canvi. The participants are Inmaculada Rodríguez-Piñero, the candidate in the PSOE list; Jordi Sebastià, candidate for Compromís-Equo; and Marina Albiol, candidate for Esquerra Unida. It will be moderated by Vicent Soler, dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia.

The session will begin at 19:30 at the Aula Magna of the historical building of the University, at Universitat number 2.

Inmaculada Rodríguez-Piñero is a graduate in Economic and Business Sciences and has a Master’s Degree in Economic Theory by the University of Minnesota. Militant of the PSPV-PSOE, in 2004 she was appointed federal secretary of Economic Policy and Occupation in the PSOE, with responsibility for economic policy, occupation, housing, industry and infrastructure. She is the first woman responsible for economics in the PSOE.

Jordi Sesbastià is a writer, journalist and university profesor. Since 2001 he is the mayor of Burjassot for Compromís. Graduated in Philology, since 2004 he teaches journalism at the University of Valencia. He has wrote several books and has collaborated with the magazine ‘El Temps’. Currently he also works as an independent journalist and writer.

Maria Albiol is a diploma holder in physiotherapy and has a postgraduate in traumatology and orthopedics. Since 2000 she is militant of the PCPV and of Esquerra Unida in the Valencian Country, of which since 2003 she is a member of the political council. She is also coordinator of the Youth of Esquerra Unida in the Valencian Country. She is a member of the political commission of the PCPV and of the Platform for the III Republic. She is regional deputy.
