The researcher José María Seguí wins the European prize of science outreach XVII Premio Europeo de Divulgación Científica “Estudi General”

The researcher of the University of Valencia’s Institute for the Preservation and Improvement of the Valencian Agro-biodiversity, José María Seguí, wins the scientific prize XVII Premio Europeo de Divulgación Científica “Estudi General”. His work, and essay on the background of the European debate about the genetically modified organisms is titled “Biotecnologia al menú. Manual de supervivència en el debate transgènic” (Biotecnology on the menu. Survival guide for the transgenic debate).

The Vice-Principal for Culture, Equality and Planning of the University of Valencia, Antonio Ariño, presented the prize last Friday, the 11th November, at the literay prizes ceremony Premios Literarios Ciutat d’Alzira. The prize consisted of 18,000, and the ceremony was promoted by the town council of Alzira and Edicions Bromera.
