Universitat de València’s professor Petra María Pérez is going to join tomorrow, October 23, the Real Academia de Ciencias Morales y Políticas. This full professor of education theory is the first incorporation of an expert in education to this institution, where politicians, jurists, philosophers, economists, sociologists, and psychologists take part. The event is scheduled at 19:00 at the academia’s headquarter in Plaza de la Villa in Madrid.

Real Academia de Ciencias Morales y Políticas was founded in 1857 and is one of the Spanish royal academies. It is a meeting forum to discuss on the social, economical, philosphical, politic, and legal knowledge as well as a laboratory for research and criticism. Its members are outstanding people in Spanish political, social and economic life. The headquarters is one of the oldest buildings in Madrid.

Professor Petra María Pérez Alonso-Geta is a full professor of education theory at Universitat de València. She is a former director and researcher at the Creativity and Educational Innovations at UV and is adviser for Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT). Her studies are focused on anthropology and education theory and they gather her vast research on the values and life styles in the lifes of children and adolescents.
