Erasmus students from Universitat de València will have the opportunity to discover cultural and landscaping values in Valencian towns of the coast and inland. In this program’s edition “Erasmus in the territory”, training itineraries will be developed in Xàtiva, Requena, Bocairent and Cullera; designed with the participation of the corresponding city councils.
Next Saturday, February 21st, the first tour will take place in Xàtiva, capital of the towns in La Costera. Students will visit the majestic castle and will walk along the old town, accompanied by a specialised guide tour that will explain the details of Pope Borja’s home town, Alexander VI.
Next tours are scheduled for Saturdays in March 7 (Requena), April 25 (Bocairent) and May 9 (Cullera). The persons concerned can enrol as many tours as they want to, with cheap prices for students, that includes transport, insurance, meal (local gastronomy) and guided tours both in host regions and the ones on the route. Boat and electric train rides are also included.
The program “Erasmus in the territory” has been organised by the Universitat de València, through viceprincipals of Participation and Territorial Projection, and the Internationalisation and Cooperation, in collaboration with the patronage València Terra i Mar (Valencian Provincial Council) and city councils of Xàtiva, Cullera, Requena and Bocairent.
This program provides an opportunity for students to discover the greatness of Valencian coast and inland, to find out the Valencian culture, gastronomy, landscapes and in general, a small display of the great heritage richness of the Valencian territory. Visits have a training side but also playful, because routes include activities of various kinds: in Cullera, they will discover the Castle and the Rice Museum and will have a boat ride along La Albufera; in Requena, they will taste wine and wine cellar of their wineries and will visit La Villa; in Bocairent; they will enjoy Covetes dels Moros and the historical centre; and in Xàtiva, they will go up to the castle and will discover the Museu de L’almodí.
